Ingredients
- Ground lamb or beef
- Onion
- Carrots
- Peas
- Garlic
- Beef broth
- Worcestershire sauce
- Potatoes
- Butter
- Milk or cream
Instructions
- Chop onion and carrots, and mince garlic.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat. Drain excess fat, then add onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in peas, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce; simmer until thickened (about 10 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Boil peeled potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain and mash with butter and milk until creamy.
- Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes. Use a fork to create swirls for browning.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
