Instructions

  2. Cut vegetables into large chunks for even cooking.
  3. Place brisket in a pot or slow cooker; season generously with spice mix.
  4. Add onions and carrots around the brisket, cover with 4-5 cups of water, and add bay leaves.
  5. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 3-4 hours until fork-tender.
  6. Remove brisket and add chopped cabbage; cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until wilted.
