- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round baking pans with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-4 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add half of the dry ingredients followed by half the milk; mix until just combined. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Divide batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
