  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup golden syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder until evenly combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in milk and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just blended; do not overmix.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While baking, prepare the toffee sauce by heating heavy cream, brown sugar, and golden syrup in a saucepan over medium heat until melted (5-7 minutes).
  9. Serve warm pudding drizzled with generous amounts of toffee sauce.
