- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Gel food coloring (as desired)
- Edible glitter or sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

- Fold in the sifted dry ingredients gently using a spatula. Add vanilla extract and food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto prepared sheets, leaving space between each.
- Let piped macarons rest for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until shells are firm but soft inside. Allow to cool completely.
- For the filling, beat softened butter until fluffy; gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Pair similar-sized shells, pipe filling onto one shell, and sandwich with another. Decorate with edible glitter or sprinkles if desired.
