  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring (to taste)
  • Decorations (sprinkles, mini marshmallows)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by milk until just blended.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter. Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Cool cupcakes in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Mix in green food coloring to achieve desired shade.
  7. Using a piping bag with a star tip, swirl green frosting onto cooled cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles or candies.
