Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream (for topping)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder until combined.
  3. Beat in eggs until fluffy, then gradually add whole milk until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until lightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. While the cake bakes, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream in a bowl; stir well.
  6. Once baked, allow the cake to cool slightly before poking holes all over the top with a fork.
  7. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Just before serving, whip heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form and spread on top of the chilled cake.
