Instructions
- Soak the corn husks in warm water for about 30 minutes until pliable.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and chicken broth to the skillet; simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix corn masa with baking powder and salt. Gradually add chicken broth until dough is smooth.
- Lay a soaked corn husk flat; spread 2 tablespoons of masa down the center, add beef filling, then fold and seal.
- Arrange tamales upright in a steamer basket and steam over boiling water for 1 to 1.5 hours until firm.
