These cookies are perfect for any occasion, from family gatherings to festive celebrations. Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup jam or chocolate filling of choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets. Use your thumb to create an indent in each ball.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set but still soft in the center. Let cool slightly before adding your filling.
