  • 1 lb white fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, cumin, paprika, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the seasoned fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Warm corn tortillas in foil in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lime juice, chili powder, and garlic powder until smooth.
  6. Assemble tacos by placing pieces of fish on warm tortillas, topping with cabbage, sauce, and cilantro.
