Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Oil for frying (vegetable oil)
  • Chocolate sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then mix in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Pipe heart shapes onto parchment paper using a piping bag with a star tip.
  6. Fry hearts in hot oil for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
