- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)

- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by warming milk until lukewarm, sprinkle with yeast, and let sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well; add the yeast mixture, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until elastic.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thick; cut into circles and holes.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) and fry doughnuts until golden brown on both sides (about 60 seconds each). Drain on paper towels.
- Mix powdered sugar with water/milk for glaze; dip warm doughnuts into the glaze.
