Description

Maryland Crab Cakes are a delightful seafood treat, perfectly golden and crispy on the outside while tender and flavorful within. Bursting with fresh lump crab meat and seasoned to perfection with Old Bay, these cakes make for an impressive appetizer or main dish. Ideal for summer gatherings or cozy family dinners, they promise to steal the spotlight at any occasion. Serve them warm with a squeeze of lemon for an unforgettable culinary experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, eggs, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning until creamy.
  2. Gently fold in crab meat and breadcrumbs without breaking the lumps.
  3. Add chopped parsley and stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Shape mixture into patties (about 3 inches wide). If too loose, add more breadcrumbs.
  5. Chill patties on a lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry each patty until golden brown (4-5 minutes per side).
