Description

Popcorn is the quintessential snack that brings joy to any occasion, from movie nights to casual gatherings. This easy-to-make recipe delivers a fluffy and flavorful treat that can be personalized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons coconut or canola oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fine sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the popcorn kernels and gently shake to coat them in oil.
  3. Cover the pot with the lid slightly ajar for steam to escape, and listen as the kernels pop. Shake occasionally.
  4. When popping slows (about 2 seconds between pops), remove from heat and carefully lift the lid.
  5. Pour into a large bowl and drizzle melted butter over the popcorn while tossing gently.
  6. Sprinkle salt and any optional toppings like cheese powder or cinnamon sugar.
