  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • 3 tbsp butter (for frying)
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix until just combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add meatballs in batches. Cook until browned on all sides (5-7 minutes).
  4. Remove cooked meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, whisk together beef broth, Dijon mustard, and sour cream until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
