- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/3 tsp dried thyme)
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the sliced mushrooms for about 7-10 minutes until they are golden brown.
- Add the shallots and garlic to the skillet; cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with thyme, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry on parchment paper. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over it, then layer the sautéed mushrooms on top. Finish with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares or wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.
