  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 baguette or ciabatta bread, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the baguette or ciabatta into 1/2-inch thick pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush the bread slices lightly with olive oil and toast in the oven until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if needed.
