  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: additional melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and nuts; then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto lined baking sheets; create thumbprints in the center of each ball.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Once cooled, melt chocolate chips and drizzle over each cookie.
