  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; fold gently until combined.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until tops spring back when pressed. Cool on wire racks.
  8. While cooling, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until fluffy.
