  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Olives or peppercorns (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about an inch in diameter.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips approximately ½ inch wide.
  5. Wrap each meatball with puff pastry strips, leaving gaps for the eyes.
  6. Place wrapped meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and add olives or peppercorns for eyes.
