  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (plus extra for garnish)
  • 6 black olives (for spider decoration)
  • Fresh chives or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by placing them in a pot covered with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath or run under cold water until cooled completely.
  3. Peel each egg under running water and slice in half lengthwise.
  4. Scoop out the yolks into a bowl and mash with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Fill each egg white half generously with the yolk mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. For the spider decoration, cut olives in half lengthwise for bodies and slice smaller pieces for legs. Assemble on top of each filled egg.
